Dr. Syon Bhanot is an Associate Professor of Economics at Swarthmore College with over 15 years of teaching experience. Dr. Bhanot is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Wharton Business School, where Dr. Bhanot gives guest lectures on the subject of Behavioral Economics.

Dr. Syon Bhanot did his Ph.D. at Harvard University in Public Policy, and his interest in public policy drives him to do applied research at the intersection of behavioral economics, public policy, and public economics, focusing on the use of field experimental methods to study policy-relevant questions.

Dr. Bhanot works with various partners including the City of Philadelphia, the World Bank, USAID, and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Dr. Syon Bhanot has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals like the Journal of Economic Psychology, AEA Papers & Proceedings, Southern Economic Journal, and many more.

Dr. Bhanot is also a regular commentator on behavioral science topics in media.
